What a rewarding week it has been for our clients at Circle VHA who recently announced their new Tenant Communication and Engagement Strategy which outlines their vision for the engagement of tenants in their fundamental decision-making over the next three years. In partnership with TAG (Tenant Advisory Group), Circle CHA want to empower tenants to be more involved in running their homes and communities whilst having a say in the shaping of the areas in which they live.
In addition, they also welcomed the recently announced ‘Housing for All Plan’ by the Irish government as a positive step towards the further long-term delivery of 90,000 social homes.
If September wasn’t exciting enough for them, Circle VHA were recently shortlisted for TWO of this year’s Irish Council for Social Housing Public Choice Awards. In Dunshaughlin, they sought after a funding partnership with AIB who worked alongside Circle and Meath County Council to assist with the development of the Castle Court Apartment Complex, a particularly special social housing project, designed with the elderly or those with mobility issues in mind.
Circle VHA have also been nominated for the Collaboration Award due to their efforts working with local authority Cork County Council to settle the development of a property in Youghal. Here, Circle have shown their adaptability by working with local authorities to achieve a common goal, finding social housing for those in need.
We wish Circle VHA all the best in this year’s ICSH Allianz Community Housing Awards 2021 awards and we look forward to the winner announcement at the ICSH conference 22nd – 24th September 2021.
